Instrumentation Products of HAM-LET offer a number of advantageous technical details. E.g. the limits for alloy components in Stainless Steel 316 (1.4401). To improve corrosion resistance HAM-LET limits the content of Chrome between 17-18%. ASTM A479 allows 16-18%. 12-14% Nickel content compared to 10-14% according to ASTM A479 improves Hydrogen embrittlement resistance considerably. Also HAM-LET does limit content of Carbon between 0,04 and 0,055%. ASTM just determines less or equal 0,08%. Because of this specific and tight range of Carbon content corrosion resistance is much better.
